🥣 HOW TO PREPARE MATCHA (Traditional Style)
You will need:
Matcha sieve
Bamboo whisk (chasen)
Ceramic matcha bowl (chawan)
Ceramic tea cup (yunomi)
Ingredients:
½ teaspoon peppermint matcha powder
¼ cup hot water
1 cup additional hot water
Optional: Honey, maple syrup, stevia or other natural sweetener
Instructions:
Sift the matcha powder into your bowl to avoid clumping.
Add ¼ cup hot water (not boiling – around 80°C / 176°F).
Whisk briskly in a “W” shape for 30 seconds until frothy.
Add the remaining hot water and stir gently.
Sweeten to taste, or enjoy pure for a more herbal, earthy finish.
